How to Register or Update Your Voter Registration
To register to vote or update your registration online in West Virginia, you will need:
- Your name exactly as it appears on your WV driver’s license or ID card
- Your date of birth
- Your West Virginia driver’s license or ID number
- The last four digits of your Social Security number
If you’ve recently moved within Saint Albans, Nitro, Institute, or Dunbar, be sure your address is updated so you receive the correct ballot.

- By Mail: Must be postmarked 21 days before Election Day
