Where I Stand On The
Issues
Focused on the issues that matter to District 58
-
Putting Families First
At the heart of my campaign is a simple belief: when families thrive, West Virginia thrives.
I am running to ensure that parents are heard, children are protected, small businesses are supported, and every community has a voice in District 58.
-
Supporting Childcare
I believe we can’t build local economies and build a workforce without solving our state’s childcare crisis. Over the past 10 years, funding has decreased by $8 Million dollars; and due to policy inaction West Virginia has lost 224 childcare programs across the state during the past 2 years alone. This number will continue to grow unless our legislators enact meaningful changes. Families can’t work if they can’t find or afford childcare–and if they can’t work, they can’t thrive.
Childcare is the workforce behind the workforce.
I will work to:
- Help childcare centers and staff through updating funding formulas
- Increase the number of high-quality providers across the state
- Support policy that makes childcare more affordable
-
Strong Public Schools
As a parent with children in WV public schools, I believe every student deserves a safe, fully funded, and high-quality education — no matter their ZIP code.
I support:
- Fully funding public schools
- Stopping the diversion of funds to private schools
- Supporting, retaining, and training for teachers
- Expanding resources for special education programs- no more cutting program funding and diverting families to private programs that don’t accept students with disabilities
- Protecting local control in education decisions
- Ensuring transparency and accountability in school funding
West Virginia’s children are our future, and investing in them is not optional — it’s essential.
-
Protecting People with Disabilities
Time and time again, I have stood up when vulnerable communities are at risk. I helped lead efforts to defend the rights of people with disabilities with a grassroots movement called #304for504. West Virginia has the highest rate of disability in the nation at 20%, and must remain a state where dignity and access are protected.
I will work to:
- Protect disability rights and access to services
- Strengthen oversight of programs serving vulnerable residents
- Ensure families have the support they need to thrive
- Increase access to durable medical equipment
- Advocate for fully accessible public spaces
- Champion policies that support inclusion and community integration
- Protect disability rights and access to services
-
Supporting Small Businesses & Local Economies
As a small business owner, I understand how hard West Virginians work. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, and their success is vital to the communities in which they operate.
I will support policies that:
- Cut red tape for small businesses
- Expand local economic development opportunities
- Invest in workforce training programs
- Keep tax policy fair and focused on working families
Economic growth should start at the community level — not just benefit corporations at the top.
- Cut red tape for small businesses
-
Healthcare Access & Affordability
West Virginians deserve access to affordable, quality healthcare close to home. Healthcare is a right, not just a privilege.
I support:
- Protecting rural healthcare access
- Expanding mental health and addiction recovery services
- Protecting Medicaid and Medicare access
- Supporting maternal and child healthcare
- Improving statewide reproductive health care and autonomy
Healthy communities are strong communities.
- Protecting rural healthcare access
-
Government Accountability & Transparency
I believe elected officials work for the people — period.
I support:
- Transparency in state spending
- Ethics reforms that prevent corruption
- Protecting voting rights
- Ensuring government decisions are made openly and honestly
Trust in government begins with accountability.
- Transparency in state spending

Protecting Our Water, Air & Land
Our natural resources belong to the people—not corporations. I will advocate for policies that protect our water sources, clean air, and beautiful landscapes for future generations.
